Post by BILLAL on Mon Mar 16, 2015 3:35 pm

2nd International ELT Conference on 1st and 2nd May 2015 in Oran, Algeria

The British Council International ELT Conference has become one of the most important annual events in the English language teacher’s calendar in Algeria since its much praised inception last year in Algiers. Such was the success of last year’s event where over 40 workshops and seminars were delivered to over 400 English teachers and educators from across Algeria, that this year, British Council is offering a much larger-scale and even more impressive conference.

WHERE?

This year, the Conference will take place at the prestigious Centre de Convention at Le Meridien Hotel in Oran, where we will be bringing together leading international and Algerian ELT experts and speakers for an exciting two day programme of nearly 70 talks, presentations, workshops and symposia to be opened by the British Ambassador.

WHAT?

Well-renowned international speakers will deliver engaging and communicatively-based keynote and plenary speeches as well as giving participants the opportunity to attend workshops and symposia throughout the course of the two days. The conference will give the participants the unique occasion of meeting leading theorists and writers and exchanging ideas with fellow professionals from all sectors of English Language Teaching.

The grand Exhibition Hall will host partners and sponsors’ promotional stands and stands of publishers to showcase and sell ELT publications for the conference participants

WHO FOR?

British Council is aiming at attracting over 1,000 participants from the field of English language teaching, both state and private as well as language schools and English lecturers from universities.
